Rising Tides..Conscious Sounds

In the quiet moments between rainfall and sunshine, where wisdom grows like the lush greenery of St. Ann, Jamaica, Ky-enie King finds his voice. Not merely a reggae artist, but a vessel—carrying forward the tradition of conscious music while carving his own distinct path through an acoustic contemporary landscape.Though his physical form first found expression through runway modeling, Ky-enie's soul was always destined for something deeper—a calling that emerged through melody and verse. His Rastafarian faith became not just a spiritual anchor but the compass guiding his artistic expression, infusing his music with purpose beyond entertainment. When "Rain" found its way into the gritty realism of the critically accalimed film "Shottas," the world caught its first glimpse of a storyteller whose authenticity couldn't be confined to Jamaica's shores. That moment—a seed planted in fertile ground—has grown steadily, nurtured by nearly two decades of dedication to craft and message. His folk-infused sound continues to create space for introspection, allowing his thoughtful lyricism to penetrate beyond the rhythm, touching something eternal in those who listen. As 2025 unfolds, Let It Rain emerges as both culmination and beginning. This sophomore EP doesn't simply showcase an artist's growth—it reveals a soul in constant dialogue with existence itself.Through soothing melodies and contemplative lyrics, Ky-enie creates a sanctuary where the personal becomes universal, where individual struggles transform into collective healing. Not merely resistance against systems of oppression, the EP speaks against spiritual poverty in challenging times, against disconnection from self and community, against the forgetting of what matters most.. Love and life. His rising presence in the genre isn't simply about career trajectory—it's about the ascension of consciousness through sound. The rain falls. The earth receives. And something beautiful grows.Stay Tuned..

One Of Roots Reggae's Finest...

Music has a way of flowing through families, and for Inezi, it started right at home in Spanish Town, Jamaica. His father's melodies and the pulsing rhythms of the Copper Tone sound system shaped his early days, planting seeds that would grow into roots that led him to find his voice with the group H5, even crossing paths with track star Asafa Powell during an interesting chapter of his early journey, that taught him much well learned lessons. When H5 became part of his past, Inezi found his Solo voice. Working with Teflon Zincfence proved to be a turning point, birthing gems like "No Love" and "Roots and Culture" - tunes that would find their way to listeners through BBC and iHeartRadio, carrying his message across oceans.Even as the world pressed pause during the pandemic, Inezi's creativity poured out soul-stirring tracks like "Rise," "African Proverbs," and "Mind Check", stepping stones that would lead to his breakthrough moment with Global Beat Studios in 2021 and the critically acclaimed EP "Pain and Pleasure", a body of work which opened doors for the emerging artist.Fast forward three years later and Inezi is weaving his sound with some of Europe's finest reggae craftsmen - Sillywalks Discotheque, Hotplay Records, John John Records, and Ambassador Musik all adding their magic to his evolving repertoire, with notable singles such as "Jah Jah See", "Clean Livity", and the radio buzzer "She Needs Me" with Global Beat Studios that has become a bright spark for both Artist and Label in 2024.As 2025 comes into view, you can feel something building. With new tracks in the pipeline and shows on the horizon, it feels like Inezi's just getting started.Sometimes it takes time for a tree to bear fruit, but when it does -that's when things get interesting.
